3 weeks until the Jumping Championship
Amy is Millys best friend but they look nothing alike. Milly is average height, has bright blue eyes and blonde hair down to about the middle of her back, but Amy is below average height, has a black curly bob and brown eyes.
Amy may be small but she is an amazing horse rider. She does horse jumping like Amelia and Milly. She didn’t quite get into the Jumping Championship but she cheered Milly on so loudly she lost her voice that night!
Her father Jason Kasty walks into Amy's room pushing the door open slowly.
“Dinnertime Amy,” her father smiles.
“Ok! What are we having?” Amy asks.
“Chicken Roast,” her father replies.
Mr Kasty exits the room. Chicken Roast wasn’t Amy's favourite but she had to be polite. She looked in the mirror and her hair was very messy, it looked as if she just woke up from a zombie apocalypse!
“My gosh! I better brush it! It probably got messy from riding Cupcake,” Amy gasps.
Cupcake is Amy's horse, she got her when she was three and obviously like any three year old she named her horse Cupcake.
Amy quickly brushes her hair but occasionally stops to slowly brush through a dreadlock. It took her about thirty minutes to finish her hair! Her father's temper was rising as she was not at the table and her food was cold. He called out to Amy a few times but she kept saying,
“I’ll be there soon! I’m just brushing my hair!”
Her father would call back,
“It shouldn’t take that long!”
Then Amy would not reply.
When she finished she rushed to the kitchen and sat down quickly before her father could notice.
“You finally came and joined us for dinner,” her father frowned.
Her mother Isabella Kasty, who was also frowning, was obviously not impressed with her daughter. Amy, looking at her parents expressions, hesitantly sits down and eats within her mouth open. It's a habit her parents are not fond of when they take her out for dinner.
“How many times do we have to tell you? Eat with your mouth closed! I don’t know why you do it!” Mrs Kasty exclaims.
Amy looks slightly amused, as her mum shakes her head in confusion.
Her father sighs as Amy lets out a giggle and then that giggle turns into a laugh.
“What is so funny about your mum telling you off!?” her father asks in confusion.
Honestly, no one knows why Amy laughs. She laughs when you tell her off, when you yell, when you pick up her pencil, even when you smile at her.
Even her parents took her to a doctor and they said nothing was wrong!

Amy scoffs down her food and asks,
“May I please be excused?”
“Sure,” her mothers sighs.
Amy races to her bedroom sliding down the hall and crashes straight into the wall. Mr and Mrs Kasty wince as they hear the loud crash and thud!
“I’m alright!” Amy exclaims as she puts her thumb up.
Her parents sigh and shake their heads.
Amy heads into her room and sits down at the end of her single bed. Her parents are not as wealthy as Amelias or Millys but they weren't poor, they could afford a house, lots of food, Pony Club and school.
“I do not want to go to school! My parents say it's because if you want to get a good job you have to have good academic grades, but horse riding doesn’t involve Math or English! Do they even care about me wanting to pursue my dream as a champion horse rider?!” Amy thinks.
Amy doesn’t have friends at school so that's part of the reason why she wants to be home schooled. Sometimes she has to miss Pony Club because she’s at school or doing something related to academics!
Amy is biting her nails, it's another nasty habit. As you can see Amy has a lot of bad habits and personality.
Another passion of Amys is singing. She has been taking singing lessons for about three years now, and she has improved a lot. She used to not even be able to sing ‘Mary had a Little Lamb’ without screeching, but now she can sing really high pitched notes fluently, not even screeching once. She may love singing, but horses are her number one favourite thing, and nothing can change that!
Amy is bored out of her brain so she decides she wants to pull a prank on her parents. Amy thinks if she does a prank she will lighten the mood. Obviously that won’t work but when Amy has her mind to something, she does it.
“What sort of prank should I do? I know! I will stuff their shoes with toilet paper! Ha! This will be hilarious. This will definitely make them laugh!” Amy says in her mind.
Amy creeps out of her room and slowly moves her head to the living room where she can see her mum and dad sitting down on the couch watching the news. Something catches Amy's eye, her dads shoes. She looks at her dads feet and sees he doesn’t have any shoes on, only socks. Sadly, her mum's shoes are still on her feet. Amy sighs, guess she can only do her dads shoe…
Amy crawls over to her dad's smelly, unkempt shoes, and reluctantly picks them up. She quickly crawls to the bathroom hoping not to be seen. Amy's mum coughs and then turns her head to face her daughter who is crawling with her dads smelly, unkempt shoes.
“What are you doing Amy?” her mother asks, lifting an eyebrow, her dad has also now turned his head to face her.
“Yeah! What are you doing with my shoes?” her dad asks.
“Drats!” Amy whispers to herself.
She hesitates for a moment but then quickly scrambles to her feet.
“Just um… cleaning your shoes dad,” Amy stutters.
“Thanks! They were due for a wash,” her dad smiles.
“Anyways I’ll just be on my way,” Amy quickly says.
“Alright! Be careful! You don’t want to know where your dads shoes have been!” her mum exclaims.
Amy suddenly has an idea to get her mum's shoes!
“Mum, want me to wash your shoes?” Amy asks.
“That would be wonderful!” Amy's mum exclaims.
Amy's mum takes her shoes off and hands them over to Amy, at least it's not as bad as her dads.
Amy scurrys out the room and into the bathroom.
“Now I’ll have to wash two! At least I can do my prank on both parents,” Amy sighs.
Amy brushes her fathers boots and wonders where the shoes would have been, but she quickly stops herself before she vomits. She wipes the sweat off her face. It has been five minutes and she has just finished her dads. She quickly grabs her mum's boots and washes them in three minutes, they aren’t as hard as her fathers. She grabs toilet paper and stuffs it in her dads shoes and gets more toilet paper and stuffs it in her mum's shoes.
Amy walks into the living room and says,
“Finished your shoes, you can put them on now!”
Her parents look at each other confused, but they take the shoes out of Amy's hands anyways.
They put their shoes on.
Her mum and dad immediately take them off.
“What is this!” her mum yells as she takes chunks of toilet paper out of her shoe.
Her father takes even more toilet paper out of his shoe and exclaims,
“Amy! What did you do!”
“It's toilet paper! I stuffed toilet paper in your shoes,” Amy is the only one laughing, in fact her parents look even more furious than before.
“What's wrong? Isn't it funny?” Amy asks.
“No it is not,” her father says sternly.
“Bedtime young lady,” her mother says.
Amy walks to her room.
“Why didn’t they think it was funny?” Amy asks herself.
She shrugs.
“Sometimes you don’t know the ways of parents,” Amy whispers to herself.
